Food 1. Food snaps

How does a food snap work?
Tap + and Snap a meal, then take a photo of your plate or pick one from your library. The app lists each food it sees with its carbs, plus the meal's calories, protein and fat. Results are estimates shown as a range: check them against food labels or weighed portions.
Can I scan a barcode?
Yes, for packaged foods. Scan the barcode and the app looks up the product's nutrition label in Open Food Facts, an open product database. Only the barcode number is sent, and a barcode scan doesn't use a snap. You also see the product's score, a check of its additives, better alternatives and healthy picks sold in your country.
Can I change the numbers?
Yes. Before saving, tap Edit carbs to correct the amounts, and rename the meal if you like.
What is the blood sugar estimate under a snap?
Enter your current reading and, if you take insulin, when and how much. The app then shows a likely range for your blood sugar 2 hours later. It is a rough guide, not medical advice: T1dApp never recommends an insulin dose, so never decide a dose from it.
How many snaps do I get?
T1dApp Pro includes 150 food snaps a month, reset on the 1st. If you run out, you can buy a snap pack of 50 extra snaps in Settings → Food snaps. Bought snaps don't expire and are used after your monthly ones.

Glucose 2. Blood sugar, units & Apple Health

How do I switch between mmol/L and mg/dL?
Open Settings → Blood Sugar Unit and choose mmol/L or mg/dL. Every screen, chart and report switches, including your past readings.
Can readings from my Dexcom or Libre come in automatically?
Yes, if your CGM or meter app writes to Apple Health. Open Settings → Apple Health and allow T1dApp to read blood glucose. Apple Health can be up to three hours behind your sensor, so use your CGM app for anything urgent.
How do I edit or delete an entry?
Open the Diary tab and tap the day. Tap a reading, dose or weight to change it, or press and hold it to delete it. Tap a meal to open it.

Insights 3. Goals, insights & A1C estimate

Where do my daily calorie and carb goals come from?
They are worked out from your age, sex, height, weight and activity level. Change any of them in Settings → Daily goals.
How is the A1C estimate calculated?
From the average of your logged readings, using the published ADAG formula (eAG = 28.7 × A1C − 46.7). The more often you log, the closer it gets. It is an estimate, not a lab result.
What does "Meal impact" show?
Your meals compared by how much your blood sugar rose 2 hours after eating them, from your own readings. You need a reading before the meal and one about 2 hours after.

Reminders 4. Reminders & 2-hour check-ins

How does the 2-hour check-in work?
When you log a meal, the app reminds you 2 hours later to log your reading, then shows how it compares with the estimate.
My reminders don't arrive. What should I check?

1. On your iPhone, open Settings → Notifications → T1dApp and turn on Allow Notifications.

2. In the app, open Settings → Daily Smart Reminders and check the reminders you want are on.

Billing 5. Subscription & billing

Do I need a subscription?
Yes. T1dApp requires T1dApp Pro, offered weekly, monthly or yearly. The price for your country is shown in the app before you pay, and some plans start with a free trial. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Apple handles all billing. On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → T1dApp. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID, open the app, and tap Restore on the subscription screen.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Privacy 6. Your data, backups & reports

Where is my data kept?
On your phone. We have no copy of your readings, meals or doses. A meal photo leaves your phone only when you snap it, to be read by an AI provider, and is not stored. A barcode scan sends only the barcode number to Open Food Facts. Details are in the privacy policy.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
On your old phone, open Settings → Back up and save the file. On the new phone, use Settings → Restore from backup. Without a backup, data can't be recovered, because we don't keep a copy.
How do I make a report for my doctor?
Open Settings → Export for your doctor and choose a PDF summary or a CSV file with every entry.

Support 7. Reporting a problem

What should I include?
Your iPhone model, iOS version, the app version (at the bottom of Settings), what you expected and what happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
